These Terms of Service govern the use of the mobile application “MedDuell”, operated by Marces Jonuscheit,
Schlossergasse 56/1, 89077 Ulm, Deutschland (hereinafter “Provider”).
MedDuell is an educational quiz app for medical students. Users compete in real-time duels answering medical
multiple-choice questions and compare their performance with other students.
By registering for and using the App, you accept these Terms of Service.
Using MedDuell requires registration. You must be at least 17 years of age, have a valid email address or sign
in via Apple/Google Sign-In, and provide truthful information. You are responsible for your account security.
Anonymous use with limited functionality is available.
MedDuell is an educational and entertainment app. The quiz questions and answers do not under any
circumstances constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
Questions may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. Never rely on information from MedDuell
for clinical decisions. Always consult qualified healthcare professionals.
MedDuell is not a medical device within the meaning of the EU MDR (2017/745) or US FDA regulations.
The App may only be used for personal, non-commercial learning and entertainment. Prohibited: commercial
use without permission, manipulation of gameplay or scores, use of bots or scripts, distribution of offensive or
unlawful content, reverse engineering, disruption of infrastructure.
All content is protected by copyright and owned by the Provider or its licensors. We grant you a personal,
non-transferable, revocable license to use the App.
We strive for uninterrupted operation but cannot guarantee constant availability. We may modify, expand, or
discontinue the App at any time.
MedDuell is currently free. No in-app purchases. If paid features are introduced, you will be informed in
advance.
Under German law, we are liable without limitation only for willful misconduct, gross negligence, and injury to
life, body, or health. For slight negligence, liability is limited to breach of essential contractual obligations and
foreseeable damages. We do not guarantee the accuracy of quiz content.
You may delete your account at any time in the App (Settings → Delete Account). Deletion is permanent. All
personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate statistics may be retained.
You may terminate by deleting your account. We may suspend or delete your account for material violations of
these Terms.
Data processing is described in our separate Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
Governed by the laws of Germany, excluding CISG. For EU/EEA, UK, and Swiss consumers, mandatory
consumer protection provisions of their country of residence remain unaffected. Jurisdiction for businesses:
Ulm, Germany.
EU Online Dispute Resolution: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obligated to participate in
consumer arbitration.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS
AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE PROVIDER BE LIABLE
FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use constitutes
acceptance.
If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
